It can get somewhat dark at spots but there is a whole purpose to all of this. I needed to move the story forward and being nice to the two heroes just wasn't going to make it. Plus, I love it when Lord Froylan acts all horribly evil. Everyone that has read my first novel agrees that they unanimously hate him. Curiously enough, he's one of the characters I enjoy to write about the most.(less)
