The description of this book makes it sound a lot like SPs previous book, The Better Angels of Our Nature. Is this a rewrite? Did SP just decide he had more to say on the subject? Or is this really something new, with me just getting the wrong idea? Finally, if there is a difference, and if so, what is it? And does it pay to read this if you are already familiar with the earlier book?

Is anyone else in the Tokyo English teaching community reading this or has read it? It's a great book. Finally a Scientific look into what is going "right" in the world. But of course, grounded in reality, discussing the reality of entropy.
