-There are tons of spoilers for Borne in this novella but no spoilers for this novella in Borne
-Borne gives you more context for where the creature "the Strange Bird" comes from and what, exactly, she is.
-There's something shown to the reader casually in The Strange Bird that actually packed a huge punch in Borne (a plot twist in Borne, but just regular plot in The Strange Bird). Knowing the plot twist before reading Borne will deflate a bit of the story(less)
