Harry Mathews and Raymond Queneau are my 2 favorite authors. I've done my research on the OULIPO and many other literary movements but I've yet to find any authors that can match their wacky inventiveness. Any recommendations?

Outside the Oulipo I'd take a look at Jorge Luis Borges's short fictions, Umberto Eco's work, including The Name of the Rose, Foucault's Pendulum, and Baudolino, and maybe some Paul Auster, like the New York Trilogy.
