I am curious if the author did not misuse the phrase "dumme Schlampe"? It is supposed to be a mother talking to her daughter. I think the phrase translates as "stupid bitch" or even "slut" which is highly inappropriate in this context. I think the author was aiming for something like "stupid cow". I would love to hear from German native speakers.

Is there anything remotely historically accurate about this book? It looks really interesting and there's obviously a large layer of fiction, but I don't want to read it if it can't give any insight into the historical events represented.
