Would you recommend this to someone who hasn't played the games but wants to learn the lore?

I purposefully put off the "Demon's Souls" section of the book precisely because I hadn't played the game yet. Of course, this question is subjective, but I tend to get bogged down with all of the names of characters and especially the LOCATIONS so much so that I couldn't concentrate, much less make heads or tails of, the interconnectedness of relationships and events within the game. Perhaps that is because I am a visual learner, so someone who has a stronger relationship with words might fair better than I in this regard. However, my opinion still remains that one would benefit greatly from playing the games (though not necessarily completing them) or watch playthroughs (or parts of them) before attempting to dive into these incredibly complex worlds via this book (or a lot of social media dedicated to Soulsborne lore, for that matter).(less)
