I loved the Widow and just re-read it again, finding it even better the second time around - how is this one compared to that? I don't want to read the reviews and stumble across any spoilers.

Betsy I am finding it a page turner. It features the same reporter and detective, and has the same twists, turns, and suspense.

However, the events of The Widow are referenced 2 or 3 times in The Child, so it might help to read The Widow first just for some minor context. But really, you should just read The Widow because it's great! (although I liked The Child even better!) Actually--you should LISTEN to both stories because the voice actors are top notch--really amazing! (less)
