Not in the larger plot, but there are little jabs in dialog about fans and their expectations/reactions/opinions. It's hard not to take them personally when you're reading and suddenly there's a glaring continuity error that any reader would catch (and really, you have to think how the heck does it get past the author, the editor, and whoever else gets to read the advanced copy) and you want to gripe about it, and she's already said that basically the readers should keep their opinions to themselves. (Continuity error = Nadine and Dallas somehow forgetting that the murders from Concealed in Death happened over a decade ago.)(less)
