Would this book be appropriate for a nine-year-old to read? As in, any cursing, super graphic violence, or over-the-top sexual situations?

Danny Cannon 9year old? Meh, it might be more involved than a 9 year old would understand but there is nothing in here in would not read to my 5yr old.

Is it “family friendly”? Yes. Is it written with children in mind, not really.
Very few cuss words at all. No overly graphic gore or violence, with the understanding that they are superheroes and they fight. So there IS violence but nothing inappropriate. No sex scenes. There is a very sweet, well handled first kiss that I recommend reading to a young girl. (less)
