They might go out early to well known authors (to get some nice comments to put on the book jacket), librarians, book reviewers, book bloggers, and avid readers who sign up with places like NetGalley to read and review books. They want early reviews and word-of-mouth prior to the publication date. l have several ARCs that I won as giveaways on this site. But yes, I imagine that some early ratings simply reflect excitement about a book, or a person's bias (positive or negative) about the subject matter or author. People will be scouring this book to figure out who inspired various characters.(less)

Who did the actual writing of this book, i.e. pen to paper, fingers to keyboard or dictation? Was it Mr. Patterson, President Clinton or a combination of the two?
Angie It think Patterson wrote it and Clinton gave him some insight on White House protocols or the way a President should react in this situation.
