I am not a mother nor do I plan to be anytime soon, but I am a feminist and aspire to learn as much about things that don't apply to me as I can. Is this book a good addition in my quest to do that?

It is both an intimate analysis of how we talk about pregnancy ("we" including the culture and the scientists) and the massive, life-changing, emotional/cultural/political/physical/psychological wallop of pregnancy and birth. I would definitely recommend reading both! (less)
