When a character (the first time this occurred it was Lottie, second time it was Hayden) heard the piano and entered the study, they would cry out how no one was playing, yet the other person (first Hayden, then Ned) would say oh, but you were playing. Was this part of the paranormal aspect, or was Lottie and Hayden actually playing then? This was very confusing to me and led me to not trust the author.

However, I agree, it is confusing and misleading. It is very unclear to what level paranormal aspect actually played out - wether it was all in their heads or not. I also think aknowledging the ghost pianist would've added to the story. (less)
