The book and the author sound interesting but I am experiencing trepidation over.... "He found an egg at the park so he incubated it and this tortoise hatched out." Testudinidae (dry land tortoises) don't live in Australia, they are not endemic. I know how ridiculous this sounds; but can anyone let me know if this 'tortoise' is a freshwater turtle? I know I get hung up on zoological inaccuracies way too much...
