I did not approve of what Hugh did, but thought he was a sweetheart. I don't understand the reviews that heap blame and hate on him. I blamed Amy more than Hugh. Anybody agree with me? Anybody? Hello?

I totally agree with you on this one. Personally, I was able to relate to/understand Hugh's point of view much better than Amy's. I don't know about who I'd "blame" more but I thought Hugh was a very endearing and likable character-- again, more than Amy.

However, I think it's quite interesting that even though I did not understand or even like Amy much, she still felt like a kooky friend in a way. I didn't have to agree with her thought process but I was still on her side and rooting for her happiness. (less)

Honestly, the book dragged on so long at the beginning I finally surrendered and moved on to better books. The characters are just too annoying for me. Mr Selfish (I have to go) and Ms Meek (oh, please don't go). Gag! There is no real honest conversation about the decision. Just much back and forth (going/don't go). Choose a different Keyes book. From the sounds of it all of the others are far, far better.
