Darren Not as such. There's certain groupings of books where you'll definitely get more enjoyment from reading in order. Things like the city watch stories r…moreNot as such. There's certain groupings of books where you'll definitely get more enjoyment from reading in order. Things like the city watch stories really show character development of you start with Guards Guards!, but they're not really straight sequels.

The only exception to this rule is for the first two books in discworld (the colour of magic and the light fantastic) which could be released under one cover with no breaks between the two books.(less)
