Emily Wibberley Megan is white and Owen is Japanese American.

Am I the only one who felt the character of Rosaline from 'Romeo and Juliet' is misrepresented in this novel? Megan is said to be a 'Rosaline', the make-do girlfriend before the guy meet the love of his life. Only Rosaline was never Romeos girlfriend. Before the play starts she rejected Romeo, having sworn off marriage and men in favor of lifelong chastity. That's why Romeo is so gloomy in the first scene.
