This, and the rest of the description, read so similar to a description for Pandora's Star. It says it's a new universe, but does it read similar to the Commonwealth?

Don't knock it, as he is firing on all cylinders. A fool will try to be good at many skills or many types of telling a story but the man that hones one set of skills is to be feared or envied.(less)

I've been wanting to read Peter F. Hamilton, but it seems like his books have way too much bloat. Pandora's Star sounds really cool, but I hate books that drag. Anyway, usually writers get better with each book. Is this a good place to start with Mr. Hamilton?

It takes a few pages to put all of it into writing. If you consider it bloat you may want to find something lighter.(less)

So I see people below saying they've already had this book and read it! Looking it up on the web one site says September publication and another says June 2019. Who knows when the actual publication and availability date will be? It would seem even before September if pre-release copies have been sent to specific readers.
