WHY is this the most disappointing (and expensive, it was $50 WTF) book I've ever bought?? Are there any other histories of psychiatry that are written from the perspective that mentally ill people are...people with stories & agency? Not cardboard cut outs who should be grateful for receiving the most basic of human dignities and comforts. Any recommendations for better are welcome! -Annoyed& schizoaffective over here
