Maybe after that, his alignment would be lawful evil based on the site you linked. I had actually written it that way originally and then changed my mind later.

Of course, this assumes we're using traditional D&D alignments (which was not stated anywhere) and there are arguably still some chaotic elements to his behavior after CH 21. (less)
Ryan When is book 2 coming out, and when will it be available from Audible. This book REALLY made my 2 hour commute something to look forward to.

I kept thinking the whole time, "Damn, I'd have just taken over the whole town."

With regard to game mechanics, I'm not certain I can point to just one game as inspiration. I'm pretty sure I've played almost every RPG released since like 1995. If I had to point to a few games in particular, I'd probably say Diablo 2, WOW, a few eastern MMOs/JRPGs for the tagging system on quests, Divinity: Original Sin for environmental combat, and the Might and Magic system (not the RTS) for some of the skill conventions.

Keep in mind that any particular gaming mechanic is not really unique to the games listed above. They're just what comes to mind. I feel like so much of the leveling, skill, and combat systems in RPGs have been rehashed at this point that it's hard to point to one game where they originated.(less)
