Yes ! Yes aaaaand YESSS !!!

This book is about a herion addict that is trying to find his way through Bombay. It is actually very expectant of him to be as you called it "cheezy". But in fact, he is just on a spiritual journey in one of the world's most spiritual places. So I am actually surprised that you didn't see all those spiritual philosophies coming. I mean what did you expect ?

While I myself enjoyed it, I understand that others might not. But to answer your question, I must say it even gets more philosophical that if you don't like how it is going now you will probably would want to burn the book later on. So...I advise you to accept it and embrace it. Or just stop reading it because its long and it only gets more "cheezy". (less)
Brenton Yes, I would read it. The language is beautiful but easy to understand and the story quite compelling and mostly fast moving. Definitely worth a try.
