This has been bugging myself and my fellow book sellers at Dymocks. How do you pronounce Abhorsen? So far we have had ah-vor-son, abe-er-son and abhor-son (like to abhor).

How exactly is Sam a Wallmaker? It seems to pop up out of nowhere for convenience to the plot and is then never explained? If he has wallmaker blood, then why doesn’t Ellimere? Or Sabriel or Touchstone? Is this addressed in other books?
