The fact that she slept with multiple men before her marriage had nothing to do with h…moreI think it's just supposed to show the unfairness of her trial. The fact that she slept with multiple men before her marriage had nothing to do with how loyal she is to her nation or the severity of her crimes, so there's, as you said, no relevance to it in the court room. The prosecutors brought it up to make her seem like a bad person and to evoke a negative atmosphere towards her.
As many trials back then were very unfair and most of the time very biased, this is just a timely portrayal. (less)
