I always wanted to read this book, but I only found an edition in German (which is no big deal because I am german!) and - japanese(which is a big deal because I only know two words in japanese...). So, english and american readers, how did you read this book, when I am not able to find an english version of it? What did I miss? Thanks for more info!

And after a short research I have seen that the English version will be out in November this year, with the title "Sweet bean paste".

Now I'm confused about which translated version should I read, the French or the English one? At first I thought it was orignally written in French that's why I started reading it ... But after seeing the reviews on the English one it made me think that maybe this one is better... ?
