Reading into the Void I would say not unless an adult is having a discussion with the child about the book because the main character is in his mid twenties and is a teache…moreI would say not unless an adult is having a discussion with the child about the book because the main character is in his mid twenties and is a teacher and ends up having an inappropriate relationship with <spoiler>his 17 year old student—technically he doesn’t act on it until her 18th birthday, but it’s still inappropriate before that and her JUST turning 18 doesn’t justify his actions. I just think when I was 13, I wouldn’t have been able to understand why those imbalanced power dynamics were an issue in a nonplatonic relationship.</spoiler>(less)
