Did anyone other than me find themselves thrown out of the book at the beginning of chapter nine? " . . . so early in the morning, he headed east, toward Los Angeles . . . " There is no desert west of Los Angeles, only the Pacific Ocean. I can't believe that none of the editors didn't catch this.

Bill I caught it, but decided to ignore it since I was enjoying the book so much.

Were the brothers actually born on the same day to pass for twins or did they lie about one of the birthdates? I guess if the mom adopted the other one they can get a birth certificate with her name on it
