I bought this from Poundland on the basis the front cover claimed its a 'global thriller phenomenom'. Having looked it up online, it seems its the 2nd in a series and is a bit raunchy. I like thrillers and mystery novels, good drama but im not really 'into' Fifty Shades type books. Is it worth me paying more money for the 1st novel, to try and understand the 2nd one, or might I be better getting rid?.

Isn't Hilton's oeuvre indisputable proof that anyone could write voluminously, and that presumably a good education is often a huge liability for a writer????

Wmba Dams No. It just proves that if you have contacts and they promote the book it will sell especially if it has lots of gratuitous sex in it.

Given the title, I expected some hotness, some passion. Nope. Given the Ms Hilton's super education, I expected passion for the world of art, and its denizens. Was anyone else impressed by any great hot sex? a display of wisdom or insight, or the sense that Hilton knows her art history stuff? I wasn't - the insight is attempted with endless one-or-two words, and Hilton ain't a poet - no poetry like "The Best Offer"!
