Does anyone else feelthat the author was highly influenced by the Inuyasha manga/anime?

There are certainly a few similarities if you squint, but what common ground there is seems like surface level stuff to me (i.e. both works have clearly drawn inspiration from well-documented Japanese myths and legends, resulting in some overlapping ideas). When it comes to the individual stories, however, I feel like Inuyasha and Red Winter each took very different routes. That's just my opinion though.(less)
