I seem to have read somewhere that "Bosch makes an appearance towards the end". But I must have missed it? Or was the safe house at the end maybe his house?

Eric Morrison harry makes no appearance....jack and rachel are introduced

This is not a spoiler. I was just wondering if anyone else was really scared when reading this novel? I cheated and flipped to the last pages to find out who the killer was and reread the entire book. Even knowing who the killer was made me scared. Why was this? Was it due to the poetry?
