Pixie I've been reading Peter Ackroyd's definitive book on Wm Shakespeare, he mentions Christopher Marlowe & Thomas Kyd & Edmund Spenser but there were many…moreI've been reading Peter Ackroyd's definitive book on Wm Shakespeare, he mentions Christopher Marlowe & Thomas Kyd & Edmund Spenser but there were many other playwrights at the time too, often the actors themselves would write the plays collaboratively; there were also some harsh critics of Wm Shakespeare who derided him for plagiarism. I recommend reading the book to get the full story.(less)
