I am a fan of this series myself, but would not dare to post, as Amazon also requires, before it was published or unless I showed that I had an ARC copy... I'm afraid I doubt that 57 copies of this book was provided as ARC??? Just sayin'...(less)

I'm wondering if publishing deadlines might have something to do with that and the fact that she works on a stand alone novel, a series of three or four books, plus a couple of In Death titles a year. I know that Dorothea Benton Frank had this issue with a publisher a while back and several of her books were not up to her usual standard. Just saying.(less)

There …moreCan't answer you, but I did notice a distinct difference. It just didn't have the same feel - I hope she hasn't become tired of the characters. There was no depth to the storyline that usually includes her others, i.e. Peabody, McNab, Mira, even Roarke. They just sort of wandered about with Dallas.
Hopefully the next one (Secrets) will be more familiar. I have it waiting beside the night stand.(less)
