I have been wondering about the age gap between Gifford and Alicia. Gifford is 46 when she dies, her age is mentioned in the books. Mona is 13 years old and Alicia gave birth to Mona when Alicia was 13, that makes Alicia 26, 20 years younger than Gofford. But in all the stories ancient Evelyn talks about Laura Lee ( Gifford's and Alicia's mother) dying when the girls were very young. How?
