Rich I would suggest reading the Vampire Chronicles in order down through Blood and Gold, then read the three Mayfair Witches books prior to reading Blackw…moreI would suggest reading the Vampire Chronicles in order down through Blood and Gold, then read the three Mayfair Witches books prior to reading Blackwood Farm. The first half of BF introduces a new character Quinn, but the second half brings in Lestat and the Mayfair Family characters. This story is a huge payoff if you know all the characters from the other books first, and frankly you will be somewhat underwhelmed if you don't know the underlying stories from the other books. Basically without giving spoilers: Aside from Quinn's story-Lestat is going to help the Mayfair's solve some problems that they are having from the three Mayfair books, If you don't know the 2500ish pages of that story then you will be left with Anne's very abbreviated overview of what is going on within BF. Then after BF the same story continues with Blood Canticle. Hope this helps!

Are The Vampire Chronicles and the Mayfair witches all intertwined in this novel or can you read Blackwood Farm on its own? It's been so many years since I read both series...I was just wondering if I needed a refresher or if the novel explains itself. This may be a silly question, but it's genuine. I'd love a real response. Thank you!
