I think that this is such an interesting concept for a vampire story!! One question, though – I know that this book is a part of a series, so I'm wondering if it's alright to read it as a standalone? Or would I be completely lost if I just read this one? Because I don't really have the time to read the entire series, but I'm really interested in reading this book 😅

Okay, I'm officially in love with the Vampire Chronicles! However, I'm incredibly new to it as I've only read this book. So, this question is for the more experienced fans of this book series: I absolutely adored David Talbot and I want to know if there is a book devoted only to him?? Maybe from his point of view? Because that would definitely be the first book on my (long) list of Anne Rice books that I want to read!

I didn't read all the books yet (though I already purchased them), but I know that all of the books are from the Lestat's point of view, except the ones from the "New Tales of the Vampires", which there're 2 books, one in the point of view of Pandora and the other in the pov of Vittorio.

So there isn't any book in the David Talbot's pov (unfortunately).
Until this 4th book David had only appeared a few times, not having much participation. Now with this 4th book (specially after the conclusion with David Talbot in the book), I think he'll have more participation in the next books. I know that in the Lives of the Mayfair Witches' crossover books (Merrick, Blackwood Farm and Blood Canticle) David Talbot will have a important role.

I just finish this 4th book and will start the Lives of Mayfair Witches before continuing in the Vampire Chronicles, so soon I'll have more info about it! (less)
