I strongly suggest reading Sapiens first, as it'll make you more appreciative of the quality of information taught throughout the book, and will make it more receptive to the predictions divulged in Homo Deus. (less)
Kirti Vikram Nopany I think what the author is trying to point out is that since ancient and medieval times, civilisations, societies, and empires have mainly been guided…moreI think what the author is trying to point out is that since ancient and medieval times, civilisations, societies, and empires have mainly been guided by and dominated by some religion or the other - either Christianity, or Hinduism, or Islam, etc etc. Now there is a new concept that is dominating the world - Humanism - where we are putting the individual and the human race on a pedestal and highest property than the wishes of any God. We are recognising and believing in the concept of liberty, freedom, etc. which form the crux of humanism unlike religions where God comes first.(less)
