I just found out I am direct lineage to Princess Marjorie Bruce & like most people from the time - their lives are like nothing we can imagine. I look forward to reading this adaptation of her life. It seems there are many that believe this story to be true. Is the author a direct descendant, as well? :)

In the afterword, Yolen skates rather dishonestly over the fact that this, the entire premise of the novel, is fiction: an alert adult reader *might* pick this up, but no child is likely to.(less)
