does anyone have a clarification of what he meant by there are no coincidences? For me it was a mirror of ambiguity to question your own belief system in the review of his postulates.

Hello all, I read this book a while back but have no physical copy currently to review my question. In A somewhat thesis statement koestler states : " there are no coincidences" Much later in retrospect I am not clear on what he meant; It created a contrast in an ambiguous respect which had no explanation other than having the reader examine all his postulates and their own belief system?
