I thought John Gould's demands at times, deprived Elizabeth's precious time her deep motherly nature wanted with her children. Especially with the separation from 3 of the 4, the anguish when her little girl was so ill! She was heartbroken. Does anyone else think his selfishness overlooked her health at crucial times, and was part cause of her young death?
