I read this book a few years ago, but I remember thinking it was very similar to The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau, almost to the point of plagiarism. Any comment?

It's set in the real world with real places (New York City, Greenland) and doesn't have fantasy creatures (dragons,trolls, etc.) But half of the book is about a secret civilization underneath the polar ice cap so... But either way it's a great book and I would definitely recommend it!(less)
