I just came across this book, and would like to read it. However, it looks as if it's part of a series. Is is beneficial to read this series in order? Or are each of these novels able to stand on their own?

The book was excellent, intriguing and suspenseful. Really enjoyed it. All of the Decker children were mentioned, but their youngest daughter. Why wasn't she mentioned? Thought I had read all of the Decker/Lazuras novels. Did I miss one?
