But, I did appreciate the thin line that Klara was always on...sanity and insanity, magic and reality, the dead and the living. She also alluded a couple of times that she was sort of a bridge between the family she was born into and the family she had created. I think she could hear and see in a way that others could t because she had accepted that life wasn’t just what you could see, hear, smell, touch and taste. I think Simon’s is still my favorite chapter but the more I think about Klara (and Daniel and Varya) the more I love the book as a whole. (less)
