Does the author mention Kacey and Ben from the first book? Also do we ever find out what happened to Ian's niece? Just based off some of the reviews I've read it seems like a totally different book...

As for what happened to Ian's niece...my guess is that it will be an ongoing arc throughout the series, or at least until Ian and Sierra's book. But that's just a guess, I don't know.(less)
