I have taken a recent interest in both ecology and behaviourism. Although I'm not a student, I would like to learn more about behavioural ecology. I was curious as to whether this book would be suitable for a self-learner looking to broaden their knowledge and learn more about the subject, or is this book better restricted to those taking courses in the subject?

I'm al…moreI think textbooks are perfectly fine for self-learners. I just purchased this book and will be reading it to better understand animal behavior. I'm also reading a textbook on primate anatomy. It's exciting to read a textbook because it goes more in depth than popular books for the lay reader. I also find that reading a textbook on my own terms is more fun when it's not required reading for a college course. (less)
