I'm planning on buying some Walking Dead books for a fan as a gift but I don't know what the difference is between Book One & Volume 1, can someone please explain? It says Book One is #1-12 but it only has 304 pages and Volume One has 144 pages which makes it seem like Book One can't be #1-12?

Asha Books contain 2 volumes, volumes contain 6 issues. Book 1 = volumes 1&2 = Issues 1-12

What is the difference between book 1 and volume 1? Book 1 says it has issues 1-12, but volume 1 doesn't specify how many issues. It can't be just the first issue because the page numbers don't come out right. There is also a compendium 1 which is the first 8 volumes....Can someone explain books, volumes, and issues please? Thanks!

Jeff Answered above. But, quickly, Book = 2 Volumes, Volume = 6 issues. So compendium (based on your numbers) would be 4 books.
