She was a great character, like the Mord-Sith someone who once served evil but turned to good and did it superbly. Some of Terry's best characters I think were the former 'evil' ones, such as Cara, Denna, Berdine, Vika and Nicci to name but a few, who became as good as they had once been bad and supported Richard body and soul. I look forward to the adventures of Nicci, just wondering how on earth she's going to keep slightly dotty old Nathan in line! (less)

The protagonist, Nicci, is a prominent character in Terry Goodkind's previous books, and you will have a greater understanding and appreciation for The Sword of Truth universe if you read the other books first.(less)
