Yes, Asho is a Bythian, a group of people that reside below ground and as a result are all uniformly albino. While any albino with a flaming sword is going to naturally remind people of Elric, in Asho's case it's more of a Morlock situation, where centuries of sunlight deprivation have resulted in mass albinism.
