Having lived the marriage/divorce part of this book I can tell you that someone can make you think you're crazy and imagining all of these "little" signs. How about the handkerchief I found in my husband's pocket which was full of red "lipstick" stains? "Oh," he said, "I was shelling pistachio nuts and wiped my hands on my handkerchief." Poor Daria was in denial the same way I was and when you're in that spot it's really hard not to believe the lies.
