Ross Rawnsley Erica, Kelley has parts in both of Iles earlier novels (Quiet Game and Turning Angel). Not to spoil anything, but he also is in Natchez Burning.

How do they scatter ashes of person eaten by a dog???

I'm on page 270 and really like this book so far. I especially like how busy this book is and everything that already happened in less than 300 pages; however, it's taking me awhile to get through the book. I've been reading it for awhile and I still have more than 400 pages to go. Does anyone else feel this way? There are SO many more books I want to start reading, yet I really want to finish this one first.
