I listened to the audio book and these pronunciations were explicitly stated in Chapter 1. These are not made up words, but in American English, I've heard them pronounced differently. Are the stated pronunciations regional pronunciations? automata: au-toh-MAH-tuh I would have said au-TOH-mah-tuh machina: mah-KEE-nuh I would have said MAH-kee-nuh logika: loh-JEE-kuh I would have said LOH-jee-kuh
