Or they are so self-conscious and snobby they dont even care about the great outdoors, only about their clothes you can see in multiple parts in the book that aside from their lessons, they usually spend time thinking how to benefit themselves. And as for the horrible part, well its hard to tell. It could be from their parents influence, (especially their mother's) or it could be because they were lonely. we dont really know about the twins' lives in England, except about Lady Parsons. But it seems like they didnt have any friends. I think when their isolated with no one except each other, they get sad, and eventually it turns into anger. But i'm not sure of the correct answer. But one thing's for sure, villians are people often villanized by their surrondings, past or people. so they might not be villians in the future, but for the time being they are.(less)
