Maybe it's a marketing strategy to make people buy the next one or maybe a supposedly literary technique (one I haven't come across before despite having a degree in English Literature) but I felt cheated. This has left me so disappointed I won't be reading any more Linwood Barclay.(less)

I bought all 3 books at once and I was kinda lost throughout all of them because of the amazing number of characters. I had to write them down, 6 pages of them. This whole story, over 1,300 pages, could have been written in 300 pages. And although it was supposed to end, well, most of it did, but not quite. The author confirmed that there will be at least another book,,, I always loved Linwood Barclay books, read them all, but these last three books were really tiresome. I will stick to his stand alone books.... Maybe.
